Amanda qualified as a solicitor in 2000, having initially qualified as a Legal Executive.
Amanda has always worked in family law. She worked in private practice for many years before joining Central Bedfordshire Council in 2013 as an in-house child protection solicitor advising the Local Authority on all aspects of children’s social care and safeguarding work. Amanda then transferred to the Firm in 2016.
Amanda took up a management role as Interim Principal Solicitor for the Childcare Team in January 2020, becoming permanent in this role in January 2021. In April 2025, Amanda stepped into the role of Interim Head of Service for the Childcare Team.
Amanda currently oversees over 48 lawyers, principal paralegals and paralegals, the Childcare Team being the largest department within the Firm.
