Jennifer has been with the firm since 2016, transferring from Central Bedfordshire Council where she had worked since 2012. Jennifer has worked in family and child protection law since qualifying as a solicitor in 2000. She initially worked in private practice, advising individuals, and moved to local authority in 2009.
Jennifer is passionate about child protection law and working in partnership with our local authority clients in order to achieve the best outcome for the child. Her experience of working in private practice helps her to give rounded advice to client local authorities. Jennifer advises clients on all aspects of children’s social care and safeguarding work. She has also worked with clients to improve processes and develop and deliver tailored training to social workers.
Jennifer stepped into management in 2013 when she was appointed as Principal Solicitor for the CBC team. In December 2019, Jennifer was appointed as Interim Head of Service, becoming the permanent Head of Service in December 2020. Jennifer leads a team of more than 60 specialist childcare lawyers and paralegals.
Jennifer is also the Training Principal for the firm and is responsible for the recruitment and development of our Trainee Solicitors.
